The Claims Bank™ was born out of a need by the
general insurance companies to share claims history
across all lines of business via an electronic medium
that can be accessible by any computer regardless of
the computer architecture.
It is therefore a collection of incidents as provided
by the claims departments of the insurance companies
who are the owners of the data.
Over time Claims Bank™ will facilitate:
- Informed decisions for risk assessment by insurers
- Informed decisions by purchasers of vehicles or
property
- Informed decisions by auto traders and real estate
interest
- Informed decisions by lending institutions and takers
of securities
- Informed decisions by loss adjusters and investigators
- Varied statistical data that could be required by
the data owners as a collective body
Subscribers to Claims Bank™ are provided with
the means to search using specific criteria such as:
- Name
- Chassis number
- Licence number
- Property address
A positive search result will provide in essence only
a record of the incident and not far reaching details.
The scope of the search facility is dependent on the
classification of the subscriber as determined by the
data owners. Download a pdf version of the ClaimsBank
